History: Even at a young age Lucille always knew what she wanted to do and this led to her beginning her World Walker studies at 9. Most of her classmates were older than her, in their teens and twenties, which meant that the majority looked down on her. This didn't stop her from making a few friends, mostly with the other misfits, and she became even more determined to do something few people had done before - Walk on all thirty-four worlds.
Passing the first test, six months after Lucille had started her studies, was easy. She received her first two tattoos: one for Athare, so she could return whenever she wished, and one for the world she had just been tested on. Others in her class also received their first tattoos, although this was also the time when some of her classmates dropped out. Some hadn't passed the first test, which couldn't be retaken, while others had decided that Walking wasn't for them.
As Lucille's classmates finished their studies, most choosing to focus on three of four worlds, she continued. She felt she'd wasted time during the first six months, because the rule was that they had to focus on one world during that time, and by the end of her first year she'd taken the tests for seven other worlds. There was no time for her to do anything other than study, so she found herself drifting away from her friends, but they soon moved on.
